Registration refers to the issuing of a certificate of registration to a higher education institution by the Higher Education Commission. All higher education institutions are required to be registered with the Commission, qualifying them to operate lawfully in the country.
Application for Objection
The Higher Education Regulations 2009 has provisions for persons wishing to object to the registration of an institution by the Higher Education Commission.
1 An application for objection must –
(i) be made within 21 days from the date of publication of the notice of an application in a newspaper circulating throughout Fiji;
(ii) be made in writing in the form Application for Objection;
(iii) be signed by the person or each person who makes an objection; and
(iv) state the name and address of each signatory.
2 An application for objection would only be accepted by the Commission if it is received on or before the last day of the objection period.
How to Send your Application
An application for objection could either be posted to Fiji Higher Education Commission, P O Box 2583, Government Buildings Suva, Fiji or hand delivered to the Commission office at Red Cross Building, 22 Gorrie Street, Suva.
