The year started off on a high note for the Operations and Quality Assurance (OQA) team of the Fiji Higher Education Commission (FHEC) Secretariat when 14 officers received their Certificates in Auditing Skill Set at a mini ceremony today. The course was offered by TAFE Queensland through the Australia Pacific Training Coalition (APTC).
APTC Country Director Fiji & Tuvalu, Mr Jovesa Saladoka congratulated the staff and said that APTC is honoured to be contributing to professional development that would directly affect the development of the sector and of the nation as a whole.
FHEC Interim Director, Mr Vijay Naidu commended the staff for their dedication and pointed out that auditing skills are vital in relation to the overall regulatory work of the Commission.
The FHEC also acknowledges the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT) for its support through the Fiji Higher Education Improvement Programme (FHEIP) that funded this capacity building programme for the staff.
